Meet Ida
The inspiration behind Dog First.
An anxious sole, with a whirlwind of big emotions. Ida was hypervigilant, frightened of strangers, distracted by dogs, squirrels, rabbits ….. anything that moved. Walks became stressful, chaotic and something I dreaded. I felt guilty, worried, frustrated and alone.

Overwhelmed by all the conflicting information I read, I dove into a canine behaviour course. I learned how to work with Ida, to understand, help and support her and provide everything she needs to help and support her. The joy I still feel watching Ida safely playing, sniffing and exploring the world, knowing our hard work and training continues to pay off each time we visit the beach, forest or beer garden together. I know I am doing the best for Ida and our family.
I truly believe that all dogs and their families deserve this feeling.

The founder of Dog First, qualified, accredited and registered canine behaviour technician, trainer and veterinary nurse. With over 8 years' experience in veterinary care, combined with specialized knowledge in training and behaviour, approaching dog care from physical and mental well-being perspectives.
